In our programming camp, students learn how to program games and the basics of app development. Campers spend the week creating games in the Unity graphics engine, the most popular tool used by professional game designers. They also create apps for Android phones using App Inventor, a visual code editor developed at Google laboratories. They create a apps that can convert text to speech; use the built-in camera to make a simple painting and photo-editing app; and write a basic game that bounces a beach ball around the screen based on input gestures.
