This course is a year-long study of computer programming. It is intended for those students who plan a career in computer science, business, science, math or engineering.  The emphasis is almost exclusively on computer programming and closely follows the curriculum recommended by the College Board. Students will learn to program in an object-oriented programming language (Java).  Topics include decision structures, repetition, recursion, arrays, and inheritance.  Students will be introduced to the principles of algorithm construction and data structures.
