September 2015 cont.

The weeks after the kickoff event were spent building the game field and developing early prototypes.  Using a GoPro camera, we even made a time-lapse video of the team assembling the field.

While the team worked on the field, other team members began working on early robot designs.  Arjun Ramachandran began building "Beast", the first of his many prototypes.  This early design included a clever articulating drive train that tried to climb over the obstacles on the ramp.  Jack MacIntosh and Zach Paganini formed a team and began working on  design.  John Hollington, Peter Havre and David Diaz formed the "Gang of Three" and began discussing ideas.  Reed Chen started working on arm and delivery mechanisms.  Other team members started reviewing the rulebooks and discussed possible strategies for the competition.
